Performance results for the period Oct 16-Jan 17 have recorded sales of £1.8M with a net profit of £196k. This unseasonable level of performance provides a seldom experienced boost and places the business well on course to meet and surpass its budgeted annual net profit figure for the current trading period of £645k achieved against a projected t/o of £6.0M.

The early year performance has been boosted by an extremely mild winter and the continued growth and support of the Enviro division. Lightning protection has enjoyed a steady start to the year and having secured a number of large projects in February, the division is set to achieve its divisional annual targets.

The performance of the specialist access & steeplejack division has remained strong and is already well ahead of its annual budgeted targets, with what is historically its most productive 6 month period Apr-Sep (outage period), still ahead.

The above overall performance has been achieved during a period that saw the business close down for its extended seasonal break from 23rd Dec, returning 9th Jan and during January & February focus heavily on training and also completing its annual occupational health screening programme for all its site based operatives.

This organic growth and performance the business is now witnessing can be directly linked to the continued investment by the owners during years of recession and uncertainty in the construction sector, which has ensured the business was ideally placed to maximise opportunities at the beginning of an economic upturn.
