Churchill excelled this year in producing four newly qualified NVQ level 2 Lightning Protection and Earthing Engineers to bolster its growing ranks of home grown quality talent.
The Steeplejack and Lightning Protection Training Group (SLPTG) Awards Ceremony held on the 28th February 2018 was the venue for passing out of all the industries finest.

Churchill’s apprentices are provided with a grounding second to none and are involved at an early stage in a wide range of projects to give them the best possible start. Both Mason White and Steve Webb are heavily involved in the LV & HV Earthing, Static Earthing and Lightning Protection of three major new build power generation facilities and a state of the art major construction project for one of the Country’s largest top secret military facilities.

As one of only two nominees, Mason narrowly missed out on receiving the highest Lightning Protection award of the apprenticeship intake of some 30 participants.

In addition to working on such projects, Callum Barry and Paul Riddell have also been introduced to Project Management, Design and Estimating.

Such continued investment in people and training see’s Churchill as one of the Lightning Protection and Earthing industries fastest growing success stories.
