Churchill are pleased to announce the award of the next phase of earthing to be installed in the vertical shafts and tunnels as part of the underground London Power Tunnels project.

Work on the tunnel network will take seven years to complete and once completed will allow the ‘rewiring’ of the capital ensuring a safe and reliable electricity transmission network for the future.

The almost unthinkable option would have been to replace the existing power cables at street level causing huge disruption to movements around the city.

Work on the next phase will start w/c 26 January and will continue through the remainder of 2015

The contract value will exceed £400k and once completed will become one of the largest earthing projects undertaken by CSC Ltd.
