Some 20 months ago Churchill were approached by the owners of Wildgoose Bonsall Ltd a niche civil engineering business formed in 1953 with a view to purchasing the business from the aging owners.

Following an initial feasibility study, Churchill installed a contracts manager and support team to initially assist the business and at the same time provide time to fully understand the capabilities of the business and how it would fit into our current portfolio of niche services.

In its first trading period since Churchill installed management the business is set to report on a very healthy first year, with sales for the year at £875k.

The addition of a specialist niche civil engineering company dove tails nicely with our steeplejack chimney erection division providing us with the capability to offer a full turn key package constructing the concrete chimney base together with our erection services. In addition the machine operators at WBL will provide support for our earthing division on large earthing projects, eliminating the need to sub contract trench digging.

Furthermore WBL will  support and assist with the continued expansion of our environment division set to return well in excess of £1.2m worth of sales in its first full trading period, specialising in concrete repair, structural water proofing and specialist coatings with cross selling opportunities for both companies through their respective shared client portfolio.
