Work has begun on the refurbishment of Penarth Pier which will heavily involve a Churchill specialist team of Steeplejacks working alongside Churchills Enviro division.

The 1st phase of the project includes working the tides to access and remove huge timber fenders located at the end of the pier, the repair of concrete bases that spend a majority of time submerged under water and finally the breaking out and repair of a large section of concrete sea wall adjacent to the pier.

A team of up to 6 men will spend two months completing this first phase operating with some of the highest & fastest tides found anywhere around the British Isles
